Celeste's speaking engagements
Sought after for all sorts of conferences and by various companies, universities, and not-for-profit organizations, Celeste is open to all sorts speaking engagements. She speaks on a variety of topics, notably:
- anti-trans hate (in Canada, as well as globally), with a particular focus on legislated hate
- trans people and the law, in particular trans experiences with the law and trans human rights law in Canada;
- trans inclusion, justice, and liberation at large;
- youth activism and social action, in particular trans youth activism;
- trans lived experience.
Her offerings are adapted for a wide audience, going from introductory workshops on trans issues all the way to specialized training sessions for lawyers seeking to better grasp how to work with trans clients. Celeste’s got on her toolbelt (and carabiner) numerous keynotes, presentations, conferences, panels, and research interviews. She does speaking engagements both in English and in French, and in both cases all across Canada and beyond.
