Anti-Trans Legislation in Canada

In 2025, new anti-trans policies have been proposed in B.C., Alberta, and Québec. Existing policies in Saskatchewan remain in effect. Other recent developments, such as federal bills C-2 and C-12, whilst not directed at trans people, will disproportionately harm them.

Alberta British Columbia | Colombie-Britannique Manitoba New Brunswick | Nouveau-Brunswick Newfoundland and Labrador | Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador Nova Scotia | Nouvelle-Écosse Northwest Territories | Territoires du Nord-Ouest Nunavut Ontario Prince Edward Island | Île-du-Prince-Édouard Québec Saskatchewan Yukon Federal Government | Gouvernement fédéral

The ability to click on a jurisdiction (or the Canadian flag for the federal government) to see bills will be added sometime soon. For now, read the July 2025 update here – an update for the new year is forthcoming.
